Known and appreciated all over the world, the Penne Mezzani Rigate are excellent for the preparation of simple and quick first courses, also ideal as protagonists of original recipes to be prepared in advance, such as a pasta salad or an omelette to be enjoyed in company. Little curiosity: originally the striped shapes were produced only for the markets north of Naples and were in fact known as the pasta "use Rome", while the "orthodox" Gragnanesi have always preferred smooth pasta
Ours is Gragnano PGI pasta, bronze drawn, dried slowly at low temperatures, made only with 100% Italian wheat and water from local springs. It contains a minimum value of 14% protein, is tenacious in cooking and highly digestible
